Albion Rovers vs Ayr Utd
8:45PM
Analysis.
Albion Rovers welcome a very stubborn Ayr Utd side to their Exsel Group Stadium at Coatbridge tonight in a match I can't wait to see the fantastic outcome. The first and only worry for the visiting team remains their rock-solid center back (Chris Higgins) who is injured with Achilles tendon rupture and expected to be out until August. That aside, the squad remains highly compact. Albion Rovers are very well still battling with their mighty defensive problems. Their entire starting back 4 are still recuperating while they go ahead playing not-so-good defenders which evidently results in their horrendous table position.
A critical look at the HT statistics of both teams so far are as follows.
Albion Rovers @ home: W2 D6 L5 with 8GF and 18GA and in actual fact, they have registered only one win and three draws in their last 10 home matches with 6 hefty losses. I particularly noticed a progression: They don't lose a game and not lose the next home game. WORD!
Ayr Utd @ away: W10 D1 L3 with 15GF and 5GA, facts here being only one lost, 2 draws and 7 hefty wins in their last ten away matches. Seeing that Raith is following up closely, Albion Rovers don't stand a half chance of surviving the Armageddon which will raid them tonight.
As is my norm, I am lowering the bar a bit just in case it tries to turn sour a bit.
Joker's Verdict:
Ayr Utd -1 Asian Handicap ★★★
Odds: 1.75
Alternative: Ayr Utd to win both halves (Odds: 3.35) My fancy!
